Exciting Opportunity! Join the New Zealand Tamil Society as our Radio FM Program Producer!

Are you passionate about Tamil culture, music, and community engagement? Do you have experience in radio production and a knack for creating engaging content? The New Zealand Tamil Society is looking for a talented and dedicated individual to produce our vibrant Tamil radio program!

As our Radio FM Program Producer, you will:

Conceptualize, plan, and produce engaging radio programs that cater to the diverse interests of the New Zealand Tamil community. This could include music shows, cultural discussions, interviews, news updates relevant to the community, and more.

Manage all aspects of program production, including content creation, scriptwriting (if needed), audio editing, and scheduling.

Collaborate with community members, guest speakers, and volunteers to develop program content.

Ensure the smooth delivery of the radio program on the designated FM platform.

Stay up-to-date with current affairs and cultural events relevant to the Tamil community in New Zealand and incorporate them into programming.

Potentially manage a team of volunteers involved in the radio program.

Work closely with the New Zealand Tamil Society committee to align the radio program with the society’s goals and objectives.

We are looking for someone who has:

Proven experience in radio production, preferably in a community or ethnic media setting.

A strong understanding of Tamil culture, language, and community values.

Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Proficiency in audio editing software and radio broadcasting equipment.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A passion for serving and connecting with the New Zealand Tamil community.
